How To Make A Loft Bedroom Private
Hello, I currently rent a 3000 square foot contemporary house built in 1990. I'm 21 and married, and we are considering having one of our friends move in and cover half of our rent payment. If it all goes through, privacy is an issue for our master bedroom.
It's basically a loft. There is no wall, no door. I really want to do something about it even if we don't get a room mate. We can't build a wall, but what are your suggestions for a little bit of privacy?
-ignore the stuff all over the place in the house, these pictures were taken before we moved in and none of the stuff is ours. also ignore the tub in the master.. that's a whole different story/thread that I've posted about before!
I've seen ideas about hanging curtains and this is definitely something I'm interested in. However, I can't even begin to find a curtain rod that would mount from the ceiling (and be long enough to go across). Its approximately 20-25 feet across, haven't measured yet though! I have also seen some DIY projects where people used electrical conduits as curtain rods, which is awesome but again- no idea how to hang it from the ceiling!
So, any suggestions for privacy would help and any links to curtains/curtain rods is greatly appreciated! I don't have a huge budget, but I need privacy!
